I’m now looking for new people to trade out services with for some art projects that I will be working on for a while.  Some examples of the projects are:

Colored Gels - various poses caught in motion using extreme colored gels to portray the mood of each pose.

Image within an Image - I will be using a few different things to transpose an image onto that will be a section of the body, then have the same subject behind the transposed item, fully clothed…

Save Me - Will need at least two people for this series, will be looking for some firefighting costumes, medic outfits, police, etc.  Will be shot on location in different homes and setting up a theme where the woman is getting rescued by the professional is various states of dress.

Rag doll - Will be in different poses and dress to suggest a doll that has been cast aside.  May do some resizing to make it look like the model is actual doll size.

Down the barrel - macro close up of gun barrels with various themes set up of the model holding it.

Poker night - a strip poker game using the same model in 3 or more different poses around the same table.

Honorable death - Will be recreating the ancient honor of death by sword, it has many names, but thats the idea..  will be digital recreations after the images have been taken, combining several techniques to make them look as real as possible.

Shackled - will be looking for couples or friends, or whatever for this one, just need 2 people for each theme.  Different ideas, some shot on location, others using light and shadow, but most will be some form of tied up or shackled to something…

Intimate Moments - this one is also for couples who want to have something memorable.  I really want to add a new gallery with this setting.  Most images will be shot anonymous so you don’t have to wrry about being recognized.

These are just a few of the things I’m working on, so like I said before, if you are wanting to do something like this, but have been reluctant for financial reasons, now is the perfect time to do it.  I will be trade service for service, and in some case will even make some prints if you desire.  All the people will get a cd of the images, full size, without copyright to use however you may want.  Be sure to contact me if you are interested or if you know someone who may be.

The only stipulation is that everyone involved has to be at least 18 and I will need proper ID to prove that.  Everything else is fair game.  I will be looking for all skin types, hair, bust, etc not important.  Couples can be of any variation, again I will need several different styles, so same gender relationships are welcome.  Please contact me for image samples of any of the ideas I am talking about and to set up a meeting to discuss your role in modeling for me.

Landscapes using the human body is not a new concept, but I try to give it my own style.  I have had many images like this purchased as wall art and with the way that it is shot, many can be hung without worrying about the image being unappropriate.

This image was something I threw in to another session with a great model I work with on a regular basis.  I feel it captures the rolling contours of her body in a way that makes you want to see what is just out of sight, just as when you are in nature, you really want to see what’s over the next hill.

I missed the August Image of the Month completely, been a crazy time around my place and it just slipped past me….

The current Image of the Month is an old one I have had just taking up space… that is until I found it a few weeks ago.  I’m not sure why I didn’t move this into the galleries back when I took it, probably just overlooked it.  For me its simplicity makes the image…  proving you don’t need elaborate lighting, dramatic changes in photoshop or anything else.  Great form, light and timing create yet another beautiful image.

I know I should post to my own blog more often… just been slacking lately, stupid life getting in the way…

I worked with this girl a couple of summers ago and have just been waiting for the right idea to hit me to use with some of her images..  This has been an idea that I’ve been thinking about for a while.  The frozen in time concept is something I read in a book and have been playing with the concept every since.  Stone is forever, so it only seemed fitting to try and incorporate into my work.  It took me a while to work out the technique but I am really happy with the results.  

I will be separating the images in the gallery up really soon into categories, until them, sift through the current gallery to see more of this work.

Today the talk shows focused on Obama calling someone “sweetie”… who cares?  Does it really matter that he did?  Shouldn’t we be more concerned with what his experience to lead our country is, or what he plans on doing while he is in office, or how he feels about the issues that effect us, the general population….  

I personally don’t care that he called someone sweetie, it matters not in the grand scheme of the election.  I just want someone to explain to me why all this trivial stuff is “news” and why his beliefs, experience, and plans are not.

This is another of my favorites.  The model is a wonderful woman, open for just about anything and has more energy and drive than anyone I have ever met.

I think it is the look in her eye that makes this a favorite.  I’m fond of how the shadow brings out every muscle and the light captures just enough of her face, making her expression draw you in, wanting more.

I’m working on a project for Blue Star Mothers in my area.  We are going to put together a WWII style pin up calendar that all the proceeds go to this local chapter and I will be needing models that want to volunteer their time for this project.  

Each moth will be a different theme, an old Army jeep, 40’s car or truck, classic motorcycle, possibly a tank or helicopter….  etc.  I have a good friend of mine doing make up and hair and am working on a local retro store loaning us vintage outfits.

I have a few of the props located already but am still looking for more, if you know someone who has something that would work for this calendar, please let me know.

I am planning on having enough sponsors that we can have at least 100 calendars printed that will be given to some of the troops at no charge.

My Tulsa

A new collection of Tulsa cityscapes by Matt Moffett at The Wild Fork Restaurant in Utica Square.

Hello Everybody!  I just wanted to let you know that I just hung a show at The Wild Fork restaurant in Utica Square.  The show is called “My Tulsa” and it is twelve oil paintings depicting various places and buildings that I consider to be “my Tulsa”. 

The first time I had a show about Tulsa (called “Downtown” at The Circle Cinema in August 2006, I sold out! Since then I have had so many requests for more, so I came up with this new show. 

Some paintngs are of downtown, including The Blue Dome, and Boston Avenue but also of the Garden Center, Woodward Park and Utica Square.  The show was hung yesterday and will be up till the end of July.  There is no formal opening because I am traveling and studying art in Santa Fe, NM and NYC in May 2008.  I hope that you will stop by (Wild Fork, yum!) and see my newest collection.
